A
few
years
ago
I
went
through
quite
a
tough
time
in
my
life.
I
suffered
from
an
illness
called
Panic
Disorder,
which
caused
me
to
have
severe
Panic
Attacks.
It
got
to
the
point
where
I
was
afraid
to
go
out,
so I
went
from
being
quite
a
confident
person
to a
person
whose
life
became
trapped
by
fear.
There
were
days
when
I
felt
helpless
and
lost
and
I
sometimes
wondered
if I
would
ever
be
normal
again.
I
grieved
for
the
person
I
once
had
been.
God
kept
me
strong
through
those
dark
days.
He
gave
me
an
inner
strength
to
fight
and
to
believe
that
with
Him
I
could
get
through
this.
I
found
that
the
times
when
I
felt
the
lowest
were
the
times
I
felt
the
closest
to
God,
and
I
was
learning
to
rely
on
Him
more.
As
time
went
on,
the
panic
and
the
lost
feelings
began
to
get
less.
Then
one
morning
back
in
2004,
I
was
putting
washing
in
the
tumble
dryer.
I
felt
more
like
my
old
self
and
I
just
started
to
sing
the
chorus
of
the
song
“I’ll
praise
You,
King
of
Kings”
over
and
over.
I
got
pen
and
paper
and
started
to
write
the
verses.
The
tune
was
in
my
head,
so I
got
my
son’s
Early
Learning
Centre
tape
recorder
and
taped
myself
singing
what
God
had
given
to
me.
I
don’t
play
the
guitar
or
piano,
so I
gave
the
tape
to
members
of
the
worship
group
that
I
belong
to
and
they
kindly
put
the
chords
to
my
song.
The
words
of
this
song
reflect
that
I
was
once
in a
dark
place,
but
God
brought
me
through
and
taught
me
how
to
praise
His
wonderful
name
no
matter
what.
