I received a phone call early one morning to say that a friend's husband, had given his life to the Lord. Many people had been praying for him for a number of years and until recently there had been little sign of God working in his life.  However, things had begun to happen and all of a sudden he had been unable to resist God’s call on his life any longer.
 
After I heard the news, I was once again excited at the thought that another life had been saved and brought into God’s kingdom.  I spent some time with God reading Psalm 25.  As I read the words in verse 21, the phrase “because my hope is in you” leapt out of the page at me and I realised that all I, or anyone else, needed to do was put their hope in God, the same God that David trusted in, and He would look after everything else.                    Ian Johnson 2003
