Song Notes

I received this song just after my husband’s father and grandfather had died. It was shortly after the funerals. Some friends had been looking after the children and I asked them to pray for me as I was feeling very weary from all the grief. As they prayed I felt a deep sense of peace and calm. I looked up at the starry sky and this song came on my heart.

It confirms the scripture truth that the Lord binds up the broken hearted, binds up their deep, hidden wounds. I knew that He was my comforter and I knew that He was in control of my whole life, no matter what lay ahead for me and my family.

This song has given me such deep comfort and strength in times of trouble that I have a burden to share it with others who need comfort and encouragement:

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”

My deep prayer is that God will give all who hear this song a deep revelation of His unfailing love and comfort. The music came from heaven and the Lord has given me gifted musicians to make this song come to life - I praise His holy name for it.                            Dee Curtis 2007
