“He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all,
how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?” Romans 8:32 NASB

Notes
It
was
just
before
Easter
2004.
I
felt
called
to
pray.
As I
was
praying,
I
thought
about
Mel
Gibson’s
new
film,
“The
Passion
of
the
Christ”.
The
pictures
that
I
had
seen
from
the
film
looked
very
graphic,
very
brutal,
and
I
had
decided
that
I
did
not
want
to
see
the
film
myself
– I
thought
I
would
find
it
too
upsetting.
But
if I
would
find
it
too
upsetting
to
watch
the
brutal
torture
and
death
of
Jesus,
how
did
His
Father
feel?
How
did
He
feel
when
He
gave
His
only
precious
Son
up
to
that
barbaric
treatment
–
when
He
saw
His
pain
and
the
burden
He
had
to
bear
–
and
could
not
help
Him,
because
He
was
clothed
in
sin?
He
had
to
turn
away
and
leave
Him
to
go
through
it
alone.
“My
God,
My
God,
why
have
You
forsaken
Me?”
Mark
15:34 NASB
I
cried
as I
thought
of
the
Father’s
pain.
This
is
the
extent
of
the
Father’s
love,
that
He
should
do
this
for
me.
“He
who
did
not
spare
His
own
Son,
but
delivered
Him
over
for
us
all,
how
will
He
not
also
with
Him
freely
give
us
all
things?”
Romans
8:32 NASB
My
Father
is a
generous
God.
He
held
nothing
back.
He
gave
His
only
Son,
and
all
things
with
Him
– so
how
can
I
not
give
Him
everything
in
return?
I
want
to
get
to
that
place
where
I
can
truly
say
“All
that
I am
I
lay
down
at
Your
feet”.
Thank
you,
Father,
for
Your
most
precious
gift.
